Asendia shortlisted for the “Environmental Achievement of the Year” award

14 October, 2022

E-Commerce News Sustainability Award

With all of our sustainability efforts, it’s wonderful to be shortlisted in the “Environmental Achievement of the Year” category at the Parcel and Postal Technology International Awards 2022. We share the category with such names as Amazon UK, Correos and Canada Post.

Now in its 14th year, the Parcel and Postal Technology International Awards honour leaders in the shipping sector in categories that range from “Sorting and Fulfilment Technology of the Year” to “Business Diversification of the Year.”

Asendia’s nomination comes specifically from our achieving 100% carbon neutrality in January of this year. This milestone means that we offset all international transport emissions, including those of our last-mile delivery partners, as well as parcel returns, our building emissions, machinery and necessary business travel.

Parcel and Postal Technology received more award nominations this year than ever before, which is evidence of the sector’s strength and its continuing commitment to innovation and environmentally conscious ways of working.

The 2022 winners will be announced during a live awards ceremony at Parcel+Post Expo, which takes place October 18 - 20, in Frankfurt, Germany.
